Züblin is a construction company based in Stuttgart. It was founded in 1898 by the Swiss engineer Eduard Züblin and is now the number 1 in German building and civil engineering. It is a member of the globally active STRABAG SE. The company currently comprises around 14,000 employees and is characterized above all by intelligent building structures, new building materials and advanced manufacturing methods.

In the area of turnkey construction, Züblin was responsible for the construction of the Taunusturm in Frankfurt’s banking district, among other projects. The company is also responsible for the construction of the Central Business Tower in the immediate vicinity of the Omniturm, the Commerzbank and the FOUR project which is under construction. In civil engineering, the European Central Bank stands out. Here, Züblin carried out shell construction orders for the solid construction of the wholesale market hall integrated into the new building as well as for the ancillary buildings located outside. In the context of civil engineering, the company is carrying out the conversion of Stuttgart‘s main train station into an underground station, which will require, among other things, 25 individual excavation pits. With regard to tunnel construction, Züblin is also taking on various projects, such as the North-South metro line in Amsterdam.
Another current project is the revitalization of the Bienenkorbhaus at the Konstablerwache in Frankfurt. Züblin was commissioned here for the complete refurbishment or modernization of the building. Also in Frankfurt is the construction of Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport, in which Züblin is involved. Here, the company is responsible for the complete logistics planning. This includes, for example, the delivery and operation of the construction site equipment with up to 800 containers, around 40,000 m² of construction road, access control as well as escape and rescue routes.
