Construction of the new Sparda Bank Tower has begun

On February 2nd, the groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new high-rise building at the south entrance to the Frankurt trade fair center. This means that another 124-meter-high tower is expected to be built in the Europaviertel by 2025.  The building was designed by the architectural firm cyrus moser. The owner of the property is Sparda-Bank Hessen eG, which acquired the building from project developer Zech.

Hotel and Office Space planned

The lower 19 floors will be used by the Atlantic Hotel Group. In addition to a total of 373 hotel rooms, there will also be a sky bar, a restaurant and sufficient sports facilities. Its managing director Uwe Behm is also pleased about the new building on the trade fair grounds: “We are bringing internationality to the Europaviertel“. Messe Frankfurt will use some of the open-plan offices on the upper floors and will remain the owner of part of the site, on which a further four-story building measuring just under 5,000 square meters is to be built adjacent to the tower. The new south entrance to the trade fair center that is thus being created will also have its own subway stop on line 5.

The owner of the new high-rise is Sparda Bank Hessen, which will also use some of the upper floors itself. The tower is intended to function as a symbol of a strong cooperative, according to Markus Müller, managing director of Sparda Bank Hessen.  “At the same time, we are creating modern office workplaces for our employees and investing in the promising Frankfurt real estate market.”
