In the middle of the European District, on plot 29, the company P+B Planen und Bauen from Sankt Augustin originally planned and presented the plans for one of the most extraordinary residential buildings in Germany, and at the same time, the first Porsche Design Tower in Europe.
It is a perfect combination of a unique location, a view of the Frankfurt skyline on one side and highlights of the Taunus hills on the other, the participation of international star architects, the cooperation of a world-renowned luxury brand Porsche Design (licensor is Porsche Lizenz- und Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG, licensee P+B Planen und Bauen) and years of experience gained from the construction and marketing of exclusive residential properties by P+B and Hildebrandt Immobilien.
Planning and Construction
Status June 2022: Upon inquiry with the press office of Groß und Partner, the information could be obtained that an architectural competition has already been running since November 2021. After a further processing phase, this is now in the final phase. Results are expected soon.
Status January 2022: The construction of the Porsche Design Tower is considered very unlikely. Instead, according to its half-yearly report, Groß und Partner is planning an approximately 80-meter office tower at the site in the Europaviertel. Coordination with the city is currently underway, and the architectural competition is being prepared.
Status September 2021: According to well-informed circles, it is unlikely that a residential tower will be built on the site of the Porsche Design Tower. Instead, a commercially used building is apparently to be planned, especially because of the proximity to the railway tracks that run directly next to the lot.
Status February 2021: Construction work has not yet started.
Status September 2020: The Porsche Design Tower project was sold to another developer.
Status November 2019: The real estate developer P+B plans to no longer build the Porsche Design Tower on his own. P+B is currently trying to sell the “ready to be built” project. Experts from the real estate sector suspect that the entire condominium tower in its current form will not be constructed anymore.
