Once again, the Frankfurt-based project developer Gross & Partner is making a comeback. This time Groß & Partner announces a 128-meter high hotel and office tower called “The Spin” on the site of the former main freight station. The design for the high-rise building comes from renowned architectural office, Hadi Teheran, which has been in competition with six other architects.
The location between Messe, Hauptbahnhof, and European Quarter is currently developing at a rapid pace; four other high-rise buildings will be built in parallel. “We see this location as a very attractive office location because of the excellent accessibility from all directions as well as the evolving, urban environment. There is already a healthy mix of established and new housing and a multitude of shopping and entertainment facilities so that companies can offer their employees a lot of options,” explains Nikolaus Bieber, managing partner of Gross & Partner. Construction work is scheduled to start in 2018, with completion scheduled for 2020.
