The Main Plaza is a high-rise hotel on the banks of the Main in Sachsenhausen. The hotel tower has a height of 88 meters and was designed by the architect Hans Kollhoff. The characteristic hotel tower carries a brick facade. The filigree tower top has golden points and its shape is reminiscent of the skyscrapers in New York in the 1920s. The details of the architecture quote the American Standard Building in New York from 1923. The architecture of the Main Plaza is similar to that of the Kollhoff Tower in Berlin, which was also designed by the architect of the Main Plaza.

The Main Plaza houses the Lindner Hotel & Residence Main Plaza, which opened on October 1, 2001. The Lindner Hotel uses the entire floors of the Main Plaza. The Main Plaza Hotel has 118 hotel rooms and suites as well as 17 apartments (serviced apartments). On the ground floor there is a restaurant and a bar, which are not only available to hotel guests.

The dark red brick tower lies on the banks of the Main river and is part of the Deutschherrnufer development area. Until the 1990s, a slaughterhouse stood on the grounds of the Main Plaza site. The European Central Bank is located on the opposite bank of the Main. From the Main Plaza, hotel guests can enjoy a direct skyline view of the skyscrapers in the financial district from the upper storeys.

There is also a viewing platform on the roof of the Main Plaza. However, not every guest can easily enjoy the view platform. A visit to the Main Plaza viewing platform is only possible against payment and after prior registration at the Lindner Hotel.

The Mainhattan Webcam broadcasts live pictures from the roof of Main Plaza.
