Scala West is a 73 meters (239 feet) high office tower in Frankfurt’s City West area. The building is located next to the A 661 freeway and not far from the Katharinen Routabout and the Frankfurt Messe site. Scala West Frankfurt was developed by Groß & Partner in 2001 and was designed by MÄCKLERARCHITEKTEN. The property is now owned by a DEKA Immobilien real estate fund and part of the DEKA Stars (DEKA Sterne) objects.
The 18-story office building has a Y-shaped floor plan. The facade of Scala West is made of gray natural stone and has a clear grid. The windows can be opened and cooling is available. In addition, the building has a concrete core activation system with pipelines in the floor and ceiling slabs. These pipes function as heating surfaces and, due to their size, manage with very low flow temperatures.
The property also has 6 passenger elevators, some of which have transparent cabins. For safety reasons, Scala West has a separation system for the passenger lifts. Due to the easy accessibility for individual traffic, there is a large underground car park with 365 parking spaces. But there are also plenty of bicycle parking spaces available. A newly designed forecourt with integrated lounge areas invites you to linger.
The building has a BREAAM certification in the “In Use” category with the rating “Very Good”.
