MIPIM - Leading Exhibition for the European Real Estate Industry

MIPIM is an internationally known real estate exhibition held once a year in Cannes (France). Together with EXPO REAL, MIPIM is one of the leading real estate exhibitions. Founded in 1990, this fair was the first internationally oriented real estate event. At MIPIM, experts, planners, engineers, town planners, financial institutions, city representatives, brokers, and consultants from all over the world present their ideas and projects. With at least 20,000 participants from 80 countries, MIPIM is one of the largest real estate exhibitions in the world.

MIPIM takes place over four days in March of each year in the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, focusing in particular on residential and commercial real estate as well as location promotion. The fair’s organizer is Reed MIDEM, part of Reed Exhibitions, which also organizes exhibitions in television (MIPcom) and music (Midem). Reed MIDEM, founded in 1963, is one of the leading organizers of global trade fairs with 470 events in 37 countries.

MIPIM Awards

The MIPIM Awards are recognitions honoring outstanding real estate projects since 1991. Initially prizes were awarded to projects in five categories: “Business Centers” (office properties and shopping centers), “Refurbished Office Buildings”, “Residential Developments”, “Hotels and tourism resorts”, and “Green Buildings” (ecologically oriented buildings). Other categories followed later.

In March 2019, the Dom-Römer project received the prestigious international MIPIM Award for the reconstruction of part of Frankfurt’s Old Town.
