A new 67-meter high-rise is being planned for the Rebstockpark area in western Frankfurt. Originally conceived as a purely commercial building under the project name “Westpark”, the new project developer DLE Land Development is now planning a hybrid high-rise at the site. According to its own information, DLE Land Development has received a positive preliminary building decision, according to which the City of Frankfurt has agreed in principle to the change of use of the site. The development plan actually envisages a purely commercial high-rise for the site.
The architectural design for the new high-rise comes from the Frankfurt office of Björn Schmidt Architekten. The use is to be divided equally between residential and commercial. The residential portion is divided into 30 percent subsidized and 70 percent privately financed apartments, some of which will be maisonettes. Green facades with climbing plants and large roof terraces are planned for the high-rise building. There will also be a two-story underground parking garage.
The plot size of the new building project amounts to approx. 6,000 square meters, the floor area measures approx. 37,000 square meters. Bollinger + Grohmann was commissioned with the structural design, the landscape architecture is designed by Drei Eins – Rebecca Faller.
