Nassauische Heimstätte is currently building 200 apartments in the Lyon District (Lyoner Viertel). Here, an existing high-rise building was demolished and new residential buildings will be erected. The architecture comes from BITSCH + BIENSTEIN Architekten from Wiesbaden. Construction started in 2019.
The design envisages two green courtyards and a new building concentrated in the north and east of the property. A maximum number of apartments is oriented to the south and west, with a view of the inner courtyards. The southern, only two-storey building block closes the inner courtyards to the street, but allows an optical opening to the south and unimpeded sunshine. At the street level, a circumferential, stone basement creates a valuable, delicate finish.
