Cielo in Frankfurt

Cielo is an office complex in City West of Frankfurt and is located on Theodor-Heuss-Allee directly opposite the trade fair grounds. The building ensemble consists of a roughly 70 meter high office tower and two adjoining office wings, each with 7 floors. Cielo Frankfurt is 135 meters (443 feet) long and around 50 meters (164 feet) wide.

The tower is clamped in a 2 meter (6.5 feet) thick base plate, which is designed according to the model of the combined pile-plate foundation. With this foundation method, the load-bearing effect of shallow and deep foundations is viewed as a spatial network system and a simultaneous mode of action. This provides an effective, low-settlement and economical foundation in modern high-rise construction.

Cielo has a filigree atrium made of steel and glass that connects all components centrally. The glass roof connects to the high-rise building on the 4th floor. The atrium forms a system with the high-rise building and its foundation, which prevents mutual deformation of the glass levels.

The property was designed by the architectural office Gewers, Kühn & Kühn Architects and built in 2003. The building complex has an area of 41,400 square meters (445,626 square feet) and is currently fully leased by Commerzbank AG. The asset manager is the RFR Holding.
