The famous architect Magnus Kaminiarz from Frankfurt has died at the age of 54 years. Magnus Kaminiarz expressed his views on Frankfurt urban planning in public and, demanded more density in high-rise planning. The architect, originally from Bremen, was responsible for designs such as the Grand Tower, Germany’s highest residential tower, and the skyscraper tower EDEN – and he was among the best-known architects in Frankfurt. Magnus Kaminiarz was formerly an office partner of the Frankfurt-based Jo. Franzke and was considered a beaming bon vivant. The architect burned for his profession and his architectural ideas.
Kaminiarz already died in April 2019, a news which has become publicly available only in the last few days. There have been speculations about the cause of his death. In spring, however, it was publicly announced that his architectural firm had been in financial distress. After his death at the beginning of April, the regular bankruptcy proceedings will now be continued as bequest insolvency proceedings at the Frankfurt insolvency court.
