Union Investment Tower

The Union Investment high-rise is an office building in the Bahnhofsviertel district. The tower was built in 1977 according to plans and designs drawn up by Speerplan Regional- und Urbanplaner GmbH and Neue Heimat Städtebau Südwest GmbH. Originally, the property was known as the Neue Heimat high-rise, later it was renamed the DG Bank high-rise.

The Union Investment tower has a height of 93 meters and 19 upper floors. At night, the building is illuminated with various lighting effects in blue and white by the investment company Union Investment. It was last remodeled in 2001.

The InterContinental Frankfurt and Scandic Frankfurt Museumsufer hotel towers are located next to the office tower.

The office tower used to be the headquarters of Union Investment until 2015, when it was relocated to the Maintor Porta in Frankfurt’s financial district. Union Investment plans to use the office tower for a few more months until extensive renovation work begins on it, then all remaining employees are to move to the Winx tower.

From around 2021, investors are planning to convert the office building into a residential tower called the Riverpark Tower based on a design by architect Ole Scheeren. In addition to new condominiums, a boarding house and hotel are also to be accommodated.

Status November 2014: The Union Investment high-rise was sold to the GEG German Estate Group.
