In the middle of the European District, on plot 29, the company P+B Planen und Bauen from Sankt Augustin originally planned and presented the plans for one of the most extraordinary residential buildings in Germany, and at the same time, the first Porsche Design Tower in Europe.
It is a perfect combination of a unique location, a view of the Frankfurt skyline on one side and highlights of the Taunus hills on the other, the participation of international star architects, the cooperation of a world-renowned luxury brand Porsche Design (licensor is Porsche Lizenz- und Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG, licensee P+B Planen und Bauen) and years of experience gained from the construction and marketing of exclusive residential properties by P+B and Hildebrandt Immobilien.
Planning and Construction
Status September 2021: According to well-informed circles, it is unlikely that a residential tower will be built on the site of the Porsche Design Tower. Instead, a commercially used building is apparently to be planned, especially because of the proximity to the railway tracks that run directly next to the lot.
Status February 2021: Construction work has not yet started.
Status November 2019: The real estate developer P+B plans to no longer build the Porsche Design Tower on his own. P+B is currently trying to sell the “ready to be built” project. Experts from the real estate sector suspect that the entire condominium tower in its current form will not be constructed anymore.
Status October 2018: No construction activity visible on the site. According to project participants, the Porsche Design Tower is in an advanced planning stage, but important contracts are still missing. The start of construction is expected in 2019.
Status December 2017: According to Hessenschau, the developer filed a construction permit this month. According to Hessenschau, the scheduled construction start will be summer 2018. This is how the site looked like in July 2017:
